$195/hr. Hospitalist Opening in Fort Wayne with ARK Staffing

Ark Staffing Solutions is seeking 1099 physicians to assist with hospitalist coverage with one of our premier clients in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

We are seeking a board-certified internal or family medicine hospitalist for a 1099 locum tenens opportunity near Fort Wayne. Ideal candidates will have an active IN license and no malpractice or disciplinary history, and ongoing availability beginning immediately.

Job Description:

· 1099 Rate: $195/hr – plus paid travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance with tail

. Daily Schedule: Daily. 7a-7p, 5p-5a, 7p-7a

· Average Daily Census: 160-180

· AM Physicians: 11 PM Physicians: 2 (1 APP)

· Total Hospital Beds: 396 beds

· Skills/Certifications Required: ACLS and BLS

. Admissions and Discharge Duties:

Day Shift: Covers own patients from 7 AM until 7 PM. Takes sign out from the nocturnist during 7am morning sign off. Accepts admissions from 12PM to 6 PM. On rare occasions may need to have an early morning admission if there are more than 3 left over admissions from the night team. Expected to do 1-2 admissions during the day and the last admit before 5 PM. All clinicians signing up for the day shift are subject to round-robin through the admitter team in an equitable manner.

Night Shift: 5 PM- 5AM Night Physician. Accepts transfer calls 5PM until 5AM. Can include the APP in the rotation when the APPs are ready to take one. Finishes up their work during the last hour of the shift (no new admits). Expected to see about 10-12 admissions. Responds to RRT/Sepsis code/ Chest pain Alert/ Stroke alert from 7pm until 11pm. Need to document in Cerner details of events and assessment.

7 PM – 7AM Admitter Physician
Accepts transfer call from 5AM to 7AM. Will distribute new admissions to the 7PM doctor and themselves in a round-robin fashion
Hospital Medicine Practice Description. Expected to do the last admit before 6AM. Finishes up work during the last hour of the shift (No new admits). Signs off unseen patients (from ED or directs that have not arrived) to the 7AM Admitter Service
Expected to see about 10-12 admissions. Responds to RRT/Sepsis code/ Chest pain Alert/ Stroke alert from 11pm until 3am.
