Full-Time Adult Psychiatrist Needed for Ongoing Locum Tenens Vacancy Coverage in New York, NY

We are seeking an adult psychiatrist to provide ongoing locum tenens coverage for a clean, well managed psychiatry unit. The credentialing time frame for this assignment typically only takes a couple of weeks to complete.This inpatient facility is located in the sprawling borough of Brooklyn in New York City.The locum will be treating approximately 10 adults per day in the inpatient unit for psychotic disorders and mood disorders. Most patients are referrals since they don't have a psych ED so they are able to screen the patients before admitting them. The average length of stay for patients at this facility is 1-2 weeks. Notes are handwritten, but they are in the process of converting to EMR. Admissions are on a template form and discharge notes are typed. Candidates may be either board certified or board eligible to be considered for this role.
