The system has a regional referral / flagship hospital located in Brunswick (316-Beds). Brunswick is located just north of Jacksonville, Florida and due south of Savannah, Georgia.
Located in the historic port city of Brunswick, Georgia, the Brunswick Campus is a 316-bed full service (excluding open heart surgery) not-for-profit hospital that serves the health care needs of the residents of eight counties and is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). Located approximately 60 miles north of Jacksonville, Florida, and 65 miles south of Savannah, Georgia, the Brunswick Campus represents the only major medical facility in a 150 mile area. Approximately 10,800 patients are admitted annually, and more than 40,000 are treated in the Emergency Care Center.
In 2006, Southeast Georgia Health Systemopened the Outpatient Care Center on the Brunswick Campus. This six-story, 195,000 square foot building includes outpatient surgery and imaging services, the Cancer Care Center, the Endocrinology & Diabetes Care Center and Heartburn Care Center, art gallery, a retail area, the Dick Mitchell Health Information Center, as well as physician offices and suites.
