Full-Time Hospital Medicine STAFF NP

TeamHealth East is looking for an NP or PA to join our hospital medicine team at Cortland Regional Medical Center.

The hours are from 7am to 3pm, Monday through Friday. Your primary responsibility would be to assist hospitalists with daily rounds on inpatients and documentation of medical plans. Some of the responsibilities to be handled by the selected candidate include: providing routine medical management of inpatient care such as ordering diagnostic tests, labs, x-rays, medications, and nutrition; managing adjunctive care; making appropriate referrals for consultations; and communicating with referring or primary care physicians regarding patient care and treatment on discharge. Strict compliance with core measures is also required.

Midway between Syracuse and Binghamton and situated on a glaciated plateau at the intersection of seven valleys, Cortland is one of the most scenic small cities in New York State. Cortland is also the southeast gateway to the beautiful Finger Lakes Region, with nearby wineries, farmers markets, and world-class educational institutions.

Because Cortland is centrally located in the state of New York, cities such as Buffalo and Albany are only a short drive away. If you enjoy changes in the seasons, this is the perfect place to be.
