The Reading Hospital and Medical Center is currently seeking experienced pediatric hospitalists to join our team and help build our pediatric hospitalist program. Our pediatric hospitalists will have responsibility for providing high-quality medical care to pediatric patients admitted to our inpatient and observation units and our emergency department.
Our newly renovated pediatric unit offers 23 private rooms which feature plasma flat screen TV’s and Playstation 3. A bright cheerful playroom helps to entertain our patients and visitors. We offer 24-hour parent visitation and provide sleeping accommodations for 1 parent.
The typical work schedule will be 3 days on, 3 days off. Each shift will be twelve hours (7a to 7p or 7p to 7a). Rotations on night shift will occur every other month.
The ideal candidate will be BC/BE in Pediatrics and have recent experience as a pediatric hospitalist. Candidates must be comfortable performing pediatric procedures such as spinal taps, intubation and resuscitation. PALS and NRP certifications required.
