Quest Healthcare Solutions represents Locum Tenens and Permanent Placement opportunities Nationwide.

We are currently seeking Locum Tenens Hospitalist coverage in Western South Carolina.

  • Locum Nocturnist Coverage Needed.
  • 3 Hospitalists + 1 PA on during the day, 1 Nocturnist on at night.
  • 7a – 7p, 7p – 7a
  • 15-17 patients a day for day physicians + admissions.
  • Average daily admissions range from 10 – 14 per day and are divided between the team.
  • 6 - 12 admissions per night (varies) and cross coverage can be busy when the census gets high.
  • Day Shift Doc should be comfortable with Central Lines – Not required but highly recommended
  • Night Shift physicians must be comfortable with procedures as the surgeons are reluctant to come in after hours for central lines. The ED is weak on special procedures too. Respiratory Therapist is available 24/7 and can do intubations.
  • Hospitalist Runs codes. ER doc will respond as well.
  • Open ICU – all physicians are required to round on the ICU
  • Hospital has teleneurology backup for strokes, etc. available on the floors as well as ED.
  • PICC team available M-F 7:30a-5:30p, Sat 10a-2p
  • ABIM or within 5 years of residency – No FP Trained Accepted
  • Must be ACLS and have SC State CSR
  • EMR – CERNER
  • Hospitalists utilize dictation of H&P, discharge notes, post-procedure notes, which is automatically interfaced with Cerner.
  • Credentialing averages 60 – 90 Days, possibly sooner.
